Engagement Terms. A written scope, deadline, deliverables, and responsible contact are confirmed before work begins. Attorney-supervised work requires the supervising attorney's name, firm, matter number, conflict-screening process, and instructions for secure file transfer. The supervising attorney or hiring organization remains responsible for legal judgment, client advice, strategy, and final work product. Work outside the agreed scope is paused and re-quoted before additional billable work begins. Invoices are due upon receipt unless a written billing arrangement says otherwise. Third-party fees, filing fees, mileage outside the included area, shipping, printing over the included amount, and platform fees are billed separately. Confidential information is handled through the agreed secure-transfer method. Do not send sensitive client materials by ordinary email unless specifically approved.
